Underground belt conveyors

PIOMA belt conveyors are in use in over 100 underground mines locally and abroad. With over fifty years of experience in design, our company has developed a number of solutions making it possible for the conveyors we produce to work on dips, lifts (surface and underground inclined drift slopes), horizontal curves (proper line pans) and faults. All conveyors we offer are compliant with ATEX (94/9/EC) requirements and are intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
A typical belt conveyor consists of the following components: outrigger, drive, loop belt dispenser, tensioning station, supporting structure (line) and turning station with a charging hopper. PIOMA conveyors are available in three supporting structure versions, with the line set on the floor or suspended. Other components are selected depending on intended loads, length and angle of inclination.
